The Kirchweingarten is a southern slope directly below the church of Höflein. The reed is covered by silty clay deposits of the pannonium and partly by layers of loess. Clay deposits are rather rare in Carnuntum. The soils are deep and very calcareous. The wines of this location are characterized by core, fresh acidity and firm structure.
